PROGRESSIVELY LEARNED IGNORANCE

Progressively Learned Ignorance defines the generational deterioration of knowledge which currently plagues the great game of baseball.

Whether it's a coach blurting out a generic phrase, the under specification of any one movement, or simply jogging during a structured practice, the generational hand-me downs have not lost their worth, rather they have lost their purposed functionality. The derivation of ignorance which progresses through time originated within these generationally phrased sayings, ignorantly causing the intentional implementation of wrong ideas, movements and strategies. From one coach to the next, as does the knowledge. This being the case, we have witnessed a steady decline of batsmanship through time, where current statistics tell us that a StrikeOut will occur more often than a Base-Hit in any one Major League Baseball game for the first time in recorded history. Additionally, the expected time-in for the average Major League Pitcher is one of the lowest ever recorded in history being just over 3.5 years pitched before retirement, with continued declination for the coming years.

These violently negative trends are not due to a randomly-sudden, mass deterioration of the human body throughout the population as a whole, these negative trends eroding the craftsmanship within the game are being driven by the aforementioned concept of Progressively Learned Ignorance. Every player, to reach their full potential, must be crafted in a way which is unique to the individual at hand. For instance, the repetitive use of the phrase “Watch the Ball All the Way In!” is so easily said that the coaches of today seem to skip over, or have maybe even forgotten, how to teach this simple skill which is so easily attainable by any player who wishes to learn.

If you are one of these coaches, players, or parents wishing to learn more, check out our Video Series which will teach you the “easy” concepts such as Watching The Ball All The Way In, we teach How to Focus, and we teach the concept of Teaching Focus. As you go deeper into the weeds, you will find yourself becoming enlightened to a whole new game and we will continue to encourage you through the conveyance of sensically-intriguing knowledge and direction, which will allow you to unlock the incredible player within, farther beyond what you have believed to be the fullest, because the other side is that much better.

No brag, Just Facts.
